The story behind Meadory

Hey, I'm Lena, the founder of Meadory, and here I'd like to tell you who I am, how Meadory came about, and what it means to me. It probably started very early in my childhood, when I created collages from fashion magazines and designed small collections in my bedroom. After graduating from high school, I had two interesting fields of study to choose from:
fashion design and architecture.
I opted for architecture, but my interest in fashion and accessories remained. After my studies, a semester abroad in Copenhagen, and numerous internships, I decided to become a bit more creative in my work environment: I applied to the theater and worked as a costume and set design assistant on several productions. It was a lot of fun, but the demands were more than an 80-hour week, so I couldn't imagine staying long-term. This is where I first discovered the desire to be self-employed. I started my small brand, 'Möbelentfalter' (Furniture Unfolder), refurbishing and selling furniture. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned, and I ended up having to close my business. I went back to working in an architecture firm, but I needed something different for creative outlets. So I started making jewelry.

Meadory will be a brand

So, in 2024, I founded Meadory (formerly 'Loony You') as a small business owner. For about a year and a half, I continued working part-time at an architect's office until, in September 2025, a company layoff gave me the opportunity to receive a start-up grant and thus become self-employed full-time.

Finding a name was a wild goose chase, but I ultimately settled on Meadory. Meadow – in English, it means "the meadow." But for me, it represents much more: open, tranquil spaces where creativity flourishes and you can connect with yourself. Ori – "my light" in Hebrew – is a symbol of warmth, radiance, and timeless value.

With every piece, I want to give you exactly this feeling: jewelry that accompanies you, suits you, and carries stories. Meadory stands for designs that not only look beautiful but also make a statement – personal, romantic, and full of radiance.
